Throughout my education in Department of Estonian and Comparative Folklore I have focused on the field of folk belief. I have analysed the relationships and contacts between the human body and environment in my Master's Thesis on legends about underground beings and the illness attributed to the underground sphere (Undergrounders in Estonian
Folk Belief. Borders between Human Body and Nature). This line of thought continued in my PhD dissertation, defended in the Spring of 2016, "Dowsing as a Link between the Natural and Supernatural. Folkloristic Reflections on Water Veins, Earth Radiation and Dowsing Practice". Currently I am focusing on contemporary alternative explanations about the nature of reality and their connections with the individual experiences and the voices of different authorities.
