International conference BALTIC LINES is embracing the contemporary drama from Baltic states. Speakers are introducing the most exciting contemporary theatre texts from their countries, concentrating on three topics: national identity, export potential and the secret of comedies.
Keynote speakers are Luule Epner, Madli Pesti and Siret Campell from Estonia, Ieva Rodiņa, Zane Radzobe, Lauma Mellēna-Bartkeviča and Vēsma Lēvalde from Latvia and Monika Jašinskaitė, Vaidas Jauniškis and Kristina Steiblytė from Lithuania. All the presentations are followed by discussion. Conference moderator is Anneli Saro from the University of Tartu.
Working language is English / Participation is free of charge and everybody is welcome!
10.00 Opening words
10.15-11.15 I TOPIC: national identity in contemporary drama. Speakers: Luule Epner, Zane Radzobe, Vaidas Jauniškis. Presentations are followed by discussion.
11.15-11.30 Coffee break

12.30-13.15 Coffee and snack break
13.15-14.15 III TOPIC: comedies. Speakers: Siret Campbell, Ieva Rodiņa, Monika Jašinskaitė. Presentations are followed by discussion.
